Window conditioner belongs to the class of one-piece air conditioners which is installed in a window aperture or inside a thin wall. This type of conditioners is very popular in the USA. Its capacity is from 1.5 to 6 kW. Basic advantages are: low price (about $280-300), simple installation, repair and maintenance. As to the disadvantage they are considered to be the degradation of illumination inside the premises because of window aperture blocked up, and higher noise level if compared to the split-systems.
